Athletic department signs five-year deal with BSN SPORTS, Nike

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- The world-famous Nike Swoosh is coming to Simpson College.

The Simpson athletic department has signed a five-year agreement with BSN SPORTS to be the official supplier of athletic apparel and equipment for all 19 varsity sports. Under the partnership, Nike will become the exclusive supplier of the Storm's uniforms, apparel and accessories.

The agreement officially went into place on July 1, 2018 and includes numerous incentives in the form of discounts and rewards, along with additional marketing and promotional opportunities.

"We are extremely excited to partner with Nike and BSN SPORTS," said former Athletic Director Brian Niemuth, who finalized the deal before announcing he was stepping down in June. "This move helps to strengthen our Simpson brand, unify all of our intercollegiate athletics programs and offer quality products to our 500-plus student-athletes."

Prior to signing with Nike and BSN, individual programs purchased uniforms and apparel from different vendors and a variety of different brands. The move allows the Storm to display a unified look from the most iconic brand in sports.

Players and fans will have the opportunity to make purchases from online stores throughout the year and the department will receive rebates based on annual spending amounts.

Select programs already utilize Nike uniforms, including football, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, wrestling and baseball.
