Featuring one of the largest fields in meet history, the 2016 Kip Janvrin Open begins today at 2 p.m.
Two field events - the hammer throw and discus throw - take place today. The remainder of the field events and all running events will take place Friday beginning at 2 p.m.
The women's pole vault and triple jump, men's high jump and long jump and women's 4x100-meter relay are set to start at 2 p.m. inside Buxton Stadium. The men's javelin and women's shot put will also start at 2 p.m at Simpson's practice and intramural fields located Northeast of the stadium.
This year's field features more than 1,100 athletes representing 49 colleges and universities from around the nation. In comparison, last year's field included over 750 athletes.
