2012 Summer Basketball Camps

Join head men's basketball coach Charles Zanders and Storm staff for fun, educational basketball instruction this summer on the Simpson College Campus. Simpson offers four summer camps:

Simpson Elite (Skill Development) Camp
Date: June 9-10
For: High Schoolers entering grades 9-12
Cost: $150 for overnight campers, $130 for commuters

Camp Features
• Limited to 80 campers
• Intense training focused on skill development
• 5 sessions catering to all positions
• Sessions include instruction on: ball handling, shooting, defense, rebounding, passing, footwork and speed and agility

Simpson Midwest High School Shootout
Date: June 22-24
For: High School Varsity Teams
Cost: $500 per team

Camp Features
• 16 Varsity teams
• Large school-only invitational
• Scheduled around most AAU tournaments
• Open to teams from Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri
• Simpson Shootout T-shirt
• Simpson water bottle
• Certified veteran official's clinic

Simpson Youth Coed Day Camp
Date: July 9-12
For: Boys and Girls entering grades 4-12
Cost: $80 per camper
Registration Deadline: July 1

Camp Features
• 2 sessions: Grades 4-6 (9-Noon); Grades 7-12 (1:30-4:30)
• 15 hours of instruction
• Campers receive a t-shirt and commemorative basketball
• Campers should bring basketball shoes, shorts, socks and a t-shirt

Simpson Team Camp
Date: July 21-24
For: High schoolers entering grades 9-12
Cost: $225 overnight campers; $130 commuter campers
Registration Deadline: July 7

Camp Features
• 12 games in four total divisions (see division breakdown below)
• Slam dunk and 3-point contests
• Two-minute Tournament
• Camp All-Star Teams
• Simpson Team Camp t-shirt and water bottle
• 3 meals per day at Pfeiffer Dining Hall
• Air-conditioned dorm rooms
• No observation or admission fee

*This year we are asking teams to provide a $200 registration deposit to hold your spot in Team Camp. If cancelation occurs after the July 7th registration deadline, your deposit will not be refunded. Upon attendance at Simpson Team Camp, the registration fee will be subtracted from your overall Team Camp balance. Red Division - 4A (large schools)
Gold Division - 3A
White Division - 2A
Black Division - 1A (4A junior varsity)
